Some people buy these ducks as Easter gifts and soon realize they are in over their heads. Many choose to dump them at lakes and ponds, leaving them to suffer alone. Most of these poor beauties die of starvation and illness, completely unnecessarily. Our animal rescue for these ducks and geese takes them in, regardless the circumstances.

You wouldn't believe how fast they grow! That's why most people dump them. They buy the 'Easter' eggs or ducklings when they're small and cute - but several weeks later they have a full grown duck or goose! Instead of loving them they abandon them. At The Duck Pond we provide a safe and loving animal shelter for these ducks and geese, giving them forever homes.
